How to Fit Them

Clean and dry the area first — adhesive does not hold on dusty or greasy fabric. Cut the panel slightly larger than the scratched patch so there is no exposed edge next to it for a claw to start on, peel the backing, and press firmly from the middle outwards. Give it a day before letting the cat at it. Cover every corner they use, not just the worst one, or they will simply switch corners.

Please Note

Test a small area first: adhesive behaves differently on leather, velvet, linen and loose weaves, and on delicate or antique upholstery it can mark or lift fibres when removed. These panels guard the furniture — they do not give your cat anywhere to scratch, so pair them with a post or board nearby, otherwise the behaviour just moves elsewhere. Not suitable for painted or varnished wood.
