Supervise your pet while they use it, and take it away if they start chewing rather than licking — silicone is soft and a determined chewer can tear pieces off. Press it onto a clean, smooth, dry surface for the suction to hold; it will not stick to grout, wood grain or textured plastic. Rinse after each use.
